Palm Gestures (PalmGesture.ini configuration)

PalmGesture.ini configuration will enable palm gestures for each application.


Important:  Palm Gestures are valid only during single palm operation.

Instructions for using Palm Gestures

The following Palm Gestures are available.

Gesture
Description
CCW circle After the virtual cursor is displayed, move the virtual cursor counter clockwise.

Hint: The best speed is to draw a circle with a diameter of about 30cm each second.
CW circle
(Clockwise)
After the virtual cursor is displayed, move the virtual cursor clockwise.
Right Flip After the virtual cursor is displayed, move to left side of screen and stop, and then move (flip) the virtual cursor to right until virtual cursor disappears.
Left Flip After the virtual cursor is displayed, move to right side of screen and stop, and then move (flip) the virtual cursor to left until virtual cursor disappears.
Tap and drag After the virtual cursor is displayed, pushing your palm about 10cm towards the camera will turn drag mode ON.  Moving your palm back to the original position (distance) will turn drag mode OFF.
Icon will be displayed next to Virtual cursor while drag mode with Mouse Left button is operated.
Icon will be displayed next to virtual cursor while drag mode with Touch event is operated.

Destination of PalmGesture.ini

PalmGesture.ini should be saved in C:\ProgramData\aeroTAP folder or the same folder where aeroTAP.exe is saved.

Notes: C:\ProgramData\aeroTAP folder is given priority. Please save with UTF-8 format.

Configure PalmGesture.ini

PalmGesture.ini configuration (or to edit it) will enable palm gestures. Configurations can be made (customized) for each running application.

Description of syntax:
[application name{:caption name}]
CCW Circle, CW Circle, Right Flip, Left Flip, Tap and Drag
Tap and Drag: This can be abbreviated. At value 1, drag mode for left mouse button will be enabled. At value 2, drag mode for touch event will be enabled.

Example: The following example is the settings for tap and drag in Chrome Google Earth screen. Drag mode for touch event will be enabled.
