Palm Gestures (PalmGesture.ini configuration)

PalmGesture.ini configuration will enable palm gestures for each application.


Important:  Palm Gestures are valid only during single palm operation.

How to use Palm Gestures

Available Palm Gestures

Gesture
Description
CCW circle Move the detected palm in a circle (counter clock wise)

Hint: The best speed is to draw a circle with a diameter of about 30cm each second.
CW circle Move the detected palm in a circle (clock wise)
Right Flip Move the detected palm to the left side of the screen. After pausing for a second, slide your palm to the right until the palm is no longer detected.
Left Flip Move the detected palm to the right side of the screen. After pausing for a second, slide your palm to the left until the palm is no longer detected.
Tap and drag Push your palm towards the camera (about 10cm) to enable drag mode.
To disable drag mode, pause and move back to the position you started from (pull back).

Destination of PalmGesture.ini

PalmGesture.ini should be saved in C:\ProgramData\aeroTAP folder or the same folder where aeroTAP.exe is saved.

Notes: C:\ProgramData\aeroTAP folder is given priority. Please save with UTF-8 format.

Configure PalmGesture.ini

PalmGesture.ini configuration (or to edit it) will enable palm gestures. Configurations can be made (customized) for each running application.

Format:
[application name:caption name]
CCW Circle, CW Circle, Right Flip, Left Flip, Tap and Drag
Tap and Drag: This can be abbreviated. At value 1, drag mode for left mouse button will be enabled. At value 2, drag mode for touch event will be enabled.

Example: The following example is the settings for tap and drag in Chrome Google Earth screen. Drag mode for touch event will be enabled.
